How Good a Roommate Are You?

It's your week to clean the kitchen. What actually happens?

• It's already done — I cleaned before anyone noticed.
• I clean it, then gently remind everyone whose turn is next.
• The rota I made says exactly who does what and when.
• Kitchen? I've been living on takeout for weeks.

Your flatmate leaves passive-aggressive notes on the fridge. Your move:

• Ignore the notes and keep doing my part.
• Ask them directly, nicely, what's bothering them.
• Propose a house meeting with an agenda.
• I never see the notes. I never see anyone.

The shared expenses spreadsheet says you owe money. You:

• Pay immediately, before anyone has to ask.
• Pay, and check everyone else is okay with the numbers.
• I made the spreadsheet. The payment is already scheduled.
• Didn't know there was a spreadsheet.
