Family Role Test: Your Seat at the Table

Dinner turns into a debate about politics. You:

• Translate both sides until they hear each other.
• Serve more food — a full plate calms anyone.
• Eat quietly and text my group chat from under the table.
• Drop the joke that resets the whole table.

Someone in the family is sick. Your role is:

• Keeping everyone informed without the drama.
• Soup, the medicine schedule and sitting with them.
• Sending help from wherever I live now.
• Keeping their spirits up — laughter is medicine too.

On family vacations growing up, you were:

• The negotiator of whose turn it was to pick.
• The one packing snacks 'just in case'.
• Off doing my own thing half the time.
• The soundtrack: games, jokes, car karaoke.
