What Is Your Work Style?

A new project lands on your desk Monday morning. You:

• Map the whole thing before touching a single task.
• Start on the first task before the kickoff ends.
• Ask who's on board and what they need from me.
• Read the brief twice, then write down my questions.

The deadline is Friday. On Wednesday you are:

• On schedule — the plan already accounted for this.
• In full sprint mode; this is when I do my best work.
• Checking in with everyone to unblock them.
• Polishing the third draft.

Meetings are:

• Useful only with an agenda and a decision.
• Time I'd rather spend doing the actual work.
• Where the good ideas actually happen.
• A chance to catch what everyone else missed.
